A group of dance teachers who “give so much of their time, energy and passion” to every student they teach have been nominated for the Teacher of the Year award.
Kerrie Hudson, Laura Lloyd, Niamh Brady, Molly Dixson and Liv Raphael of Essential Dance are described by their nominator, Rebecca Mc-Donald, as people who have “created a welcoming, supportive environment” for every child who walks through Essential Dance’s doors.
Mrs McDonald, whose god-daughter attends the school, said: “The care, patience and enthusiasm shown by Kerrie, Laura, Niamh, Molly and Liv goes far beyond teaching dance routines – they help shape confident, kind and resilient young people.
“Their commitment extends well beyond class times, with countless hours spent preparing lessons, rehearsals and performances to ensure every child has the opportunity to shine.
“They truly embody what community spirit is all about and Jersey is incredibly fortunate to have such inspiring teachers making a difference to so many young lives.”
