DEPUTY head and SENCO for St Mary’s School, Lisa Harber, has been nominated for “her guidance and support which has shaped not only individual pupils, but the whole school community”.
The team at St Mary’s School, which nominated Mrs Harber, said the confidence she has helped build and inclusive practices she has embedded within the school will “remain for years to come”.
Mrs Harber is leaving St Mary’s to take on the role of acting headteacher at Les Landes School in September.
“Whether working directly with pupils, guiding colleagues or supporting families, Lisa’s focus is always on understanding what each child needs to succeed,” the school said.
The St Mary’s School team described Mrs Harber as an “encouragement to all”, due to her help in fostering a school community where every child feels they belong, adding that Mrs Harber always took “the time to truly know every child”.
