A NEW survey designed to gather information on how to improve the accessibility of future elections in Jersey is to take place.

Islanders are asked to share any barriers to voting that they might have experienced during the recent 2026 election cycle.

The Jersey Electoral Authority initiative is open to anyone, but is specifically targeted at people aged 65 or over, people living with a disability or long-term condition, carers and support organisations.

The online survey is fully anonymous and takes approximately 15 minutes to complete.

The data will be used by the JEA to help ensure that the 2030 election is as accessible as possible, with all unnecessary barriers to voting removed.

“We want to hear clearly what worked well and what got in the way for older and disabled Islanders,” a spokesperson said. “This feedback will help us make the right changes so that voting works better for people in 2030. Every response counts.”

The deadline for responses is Sunday 15 November 2026.
