More than 30,000 votes have been cast for this year’s Pride of Jersey Awards to decide the finalists.
Voting for the Pride of Jersey Awards drew to a close at 11.59pm on Tuesday after a record-breaking number of nominations were submitted.
More than 300 Islanders were nominated across 14 categories, including the new Sports Ambassador of the Year category.
A total of 33,457 votes were cast across the 12 voting days, which is the second-highest number since the Awards were started in 2015.
The 2021 awards saw almost 37,000 votes cast after the event was postponed the year before due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Winners will now be selected by a previous winner, a member of JEP staff and a representative from the award sponsor from the three finalists who received the most votes in each category.
Each finalist will be invited to the awards ceremony on 18 November, which is taking place at the Royal Jersey Showground in Trinity.
The winner from each category receives a £1,000 prize from the sponsor of their award – each category has its own sponsor. The finalists are in the process of being contacted and the top three in each category will be announced once they have all been informed.
The Pride of Jersey Awards 2026 is sponsored by DFDS and Jersey Post.
