ISLANDERS have until midnight tonight to cast their votes in the 2026 Pride of Jersey Awards.

More than 25,000 votes have already been submitted across the 14 categories.

The awards, organised by the Jersey Evening Post since its debut in 2015, was created as part of the newspaper’s 125th anniversary celebrations.

This year has seen a record-breaking number of nominations, with more than 300 submitted this year, surpassing last year’s number of around 270 nominations. A total of 27,674 votes were cast last year.

The top three in each category voted for by the public will be shortlisted before being judged by a panel featuring last year’s winners, event sponsors and JEP staff.

All Island Media group editor Carl Walker said: “We have been overwhelmed by the number of nominations and votes this year. While life has been challenging for so many Islanders, the incredible response is a reminder of just how many people continue to step up and support others in their community.

“We received a record-breaking number of nominations this year – a testament to the Islanders who go above and beyond every day to make a positive difference. These are people who quietly give their time, energy and support to others, and they deserve to be recognised for everything they do.

“With the clock ticking, we’re encouraging everyone to cast their vote and shine a light on those everyday Islanders who may not usually seek recognition, but whose contribution makes such a meaningful difference to our community.”

A gala ceremony is due to take place on 18 November at the Royal Jersey Showground where the winners will be crowned.

A list of nominees can be found at prideofjersey.com, where Islanders have until 11.59pm to cast their vote. The awards are sponsored by Jersey Post and DFDS.
