FOUR US army chinooks made a stop in Jersey this week.
Ports of Jersey said that the dual rotor military helicopters were officially in Jersey on a “diplomatic” visit, but it is understood that they were part of Donald Trump’s visit to Ireland earlier in the week.
Before arriving in Jersey, the chinooks made a stop at Land’s End Airport in Cornwall – one of the smallest commercial airports in the UK.
They arrived in Jersey in order to refuel before making their onwards journey.
Jersey Airport said it did not provide any additional security to the entourage.
