A FREE educational event aimed at supporting people affected by Parkinson’s is due to be held in Jersey later this month.
The event, which is open to people living with the condition as well as their relatives and carers, is being organised by Parkinson’s UK and Parkinson’s Jersey.
It aims to raise awareness of the support, activities and services available to Islanders.
The event will take place at the Royal Jersey Showground on Friday 25 September from 10.30am to 3pm.
The programme will include talks from professionals and other speakers, question-and-answer sessions and opportunities for attendees to meet people with similar experiences.
Local activity providers and healthcare professionals have also been invited to attend. Lunch and refreshments will be provided free of charge.
Places are limited and must be booked in advance. Islanders can register using the QR codes published on the organisations’ social-media pages or by emailing Claire Lewis at clewis@parkinsons.org.uk.
