THIS weekend a Summer Carribean and African music family fun day will be held in St Helier with free admission.
Families are invited to enjoy a day of Carribean and African music in Howard Davis Park this Sunday as part of a free-to-enter event celebrating culture and community.
Friends of Africa C.I is a Jersey based charity which celebrates African and Carribean culture while supporting integration into the Island community.
The event will open from 2pm until 10pm this Sunday, offering entertainment from local DJs, afrobeats, reggae, soca, face painting, dominoes and more.
On social media, Friends of Africa C.I said: “This is more than just a music event — it’s about community, culture, love, kindness and togetherness.
“Because community is power, bringing our families together is power, celebrating our differences is power and creating beautiful memories together is what it’s all about!
“So, bring your dancing shoes and bring your good energy! Let’s dance away the summer of 2026, make memories and have an unforgettable day together”.
Organisers reminded families to bring a picnic basket, but reassured that Donutworryjsy and a local ice cream van will be present on the day.
