JERSEY Post has introduced four new vibrant vehicles to their eco-fleet of postal mini-vans after running an Islandwide search for artists to design the latest additions.
After the competition was launched this June, more than 50 young Islanders aged between five and eighteen submitted over 140 creative name suggestions and designs.

Penny Post was designed by 11-year-old Emily, with the name chosen by Nicky and Tabitha. As the designated “mother of the group”, Penny knows the quickest routes around town and brings “lots of smiles to St Helier, one collection at a time,” Jersey Post said.
The next in the fleet is Parcel Pete – dubbed the father of the new team. Pete is a dependable, cleaner, greener mini-van and was designed by Kimberley, aged 14, and named by Chase.

Inspired by the Island’s iconic wildlife, Parcel Puffin is a valued “playful, bright, and full of character” addition, the organisation said. The artwork was created by Ruby, aged nine, with Rozzy deciding her name.
The last new member “wears Jersey on his wheels with a design that features a map of the Island,” Jersey Post said. Beanie Post, the fleet’s son, is a little reminder that every route and road it visits is part of the same close-knit community. His name was selected by Chase, with 13-year-old Clara providing the design.
All pieces of artwork submitted will also be showcased in an exhibition at the Broad Street Post Office from Thursday 20 August until Tuesday 8 September.
Julie Thomas, chief operating officer at Jersey Post, said: “We wanted to get our community involved in creating the personalities of our mini-vans, to celebrate the incredible creativity and imagination that we have here on the Island.
“The standard of entries for both competitions was fantastic, and it made judging the artwork and names very hard. Try to spot one of these cute vans when you’re next in St Helier.”
