A MAN has been warned that he could receive a custodial sentence after admitting possessing five lumps of cannabis resin earlier this year.
Paul Anthony Louis (59) appeared in the Magistrate’s Court yesterday morning where he admitted to possessing the Class B drug and breaching a court order.
St Helier Centenier Sharon Rive, prosecuting, said police attended after receiving a report from someone who believed they had witnessed a drug deal.
The court heard that Louis had a previous conviction for importing drugs and was already on bail.
Relief Magistrate David Le Cornu ordered a pre-sentence report and warned that custody was being considered.
Louis was remanded on bail to return to court in September.
