THE Festival of the Mile is due to return this year to mark its fifth anniversary with a day full of racing.
The annual event will take place at FB Fields on Sunday 19 July in aid of the Jersey Heart Support Group.
The festival will feature races for all ages and abilities – including the infamous Randalls Beer Mile and the family-favourite 400m mascot race.
Familiar faces, including Hearty the Heart, The Battle Bee, and Karl the Shoe, will all compete to be crowned the fastest mascot.
The Randalls Beer Mile will see competitors tackle four laps of the track, chugging a half pint of beer before each lap.
New for 2026 is the Sports Club Cup, which will see Island sports clubs compete to be crowned the fastest based on the average finishing times of their runners.
