AN empty Fairy liquid bottle might not look like the makings of a prize-winning Battle float – but one parish team says it’s exactly what they’re after.
The parish float builders of St Mary and St Peter are appealing for empty bottles of all sizes to help in the process of creating this year’s display, with team member Paul Pinel offering to collect donations from Islanders.
Anyone able to donate bottles is urged to contact Mr Pinel on 07700 712124.
