THE Youth Enquiry Service – which provides information, support, advice and counselling for young people – is temporarily relocating before it moves into a new purpose-built centre in Ann Street.
On Monday it will move from Eagle House in Colomberie to the Jersey Youth Service headquarters in St James Street, with the same staff, services and opening hours as normal.
YES said that the move had been carefully planned to minimise any impact on service users, with the temporary shift being “an important step in the wider development of the new Ann Street facility, which will enhance the environment and experience for young people accessing services.”
It added that all appointments, drop-ins and scheduled sessions would continue as planned, with no disruption to support.
YES is due to move to a new standalone building on the former Ann Street Brewery site – which is currently being built as part of a wider Andium Homes development by Dandara – from next January.
The development also includes a new Youth Centre, which will include a dance studio, boxing gym, climbing wall, sports hall and rooftop ‘kick’ pitch.
