A GHOSTLY black dog said to haunt Bouley Bay’s cliffs is set to prowl onto the Jersey Opera House stage next month after the Island’s own ballet company returned from a critically acclaimed London performance alongside some of the world’s biggest ballet companies.
Ballet d’Jèrri will premiere Black Dog Noir – a new production inspired by the hound once said to have terrified smugglers and warned fishers of storms – from 12 to 14 June.
The show follows the dance company’s recent appearance at the Royal Opera House’s Linbury Theatre, where it performed alongside world-renowned companies including The Royal Ballet and Paris Opera Ballet.
Audience members are being invited to immerse themselves in the theme with an optional black-and-white dress code. Tickets are available on the Opera House website on a ‘pay what you can’ basis, with a limited number being sold at £5.
