AN ARTISAN chocolatier and pâtisserie served its final customers at Castle Quay over the weekend before relocating to a new home in town.
Ganache Jersey is set to open at 3 Dumaresq Street on Friday 1 May, after receiving permission to convert part of the premises into a food preparation space for on-site chocolate and pâtisserie production.
Saturday 25 April marked the final day of retail trading at the business’s current Castle Quay site, bringing to a close just under two years at the waterfront location.
Founded in 2023 by Jersey-born chocolatier Glenn Noel and pastry chef Constance Claperon, the business has built a reputation for its handmade chocolates and sweet treats.
The approved plans will allow the pair to expand their operation by producing goods directly on site, a move they argued would improve freshness, efficiency and the overall customer experience while reducing the need for transport.
Planning documents described the production element as remaining “intrinsic” to the retail business, with no loss of retail space but rather a reconfiguration to provide more back-of-house facilities.
The Dumaresq Street unit, previously vacant, will undergo internal alterations only at this stage, although further proposals for shopfront and signage changes are expected.
