THE lead singer of the Zutons is the latest name to be announced for a special event to be held in the Royal Square in May.
Dave McCabe, who is best known for writing and performing the hit Valerie, will take to the stage at Lib Live on Friday 1 May.
Lib Live is a new addition to the Island’s event calendar and will feature acoustic, stripped-back sets from UK acts, with Jamie Webster previously being announced as the headliner. The dance event Lib in the Square will then take place on the following two days and is set to be headlined by DJs Roger Sanchez and MK.
Organisers said: “We are incredibly proud to announce that a true icon of British songwriting, the frontman of The Zutons and the genius behind the anthem Valerie, Dave McCabe is officially joining the bill.
“Dave has been at the heart of the indie-rock scene for two decades. Expect a high-octane set featuring the best of The Zutons and his incredible solo work.”
Tickets for the event are limited to 1,000 and are available from weekender.je.
