LIVERPUDLIAN singer-songwriter Jamie Webster is set to headline a new event in the Royal Square in May.

Lib Live is set to take place on Friday 1 May, ahead of Lib in the Square on the following two days.

Jamie Webster has released three albums – the most recent of which, 10 for the People, reached number two in the UK album charts. He is known for his association with Liverpool FC.

Organisers said: “The secret is out. We are incredibly proud to announce that the voice of the people, from Liverpool, Jamie Webster will headline the very first Lib Live at the iconic Royal Square.

“This is a massive moment for St Helier. We are transforming the heart of the Island into an intimate, 1,000-capacity outdoor arena for a boutique premiere like no other.

“Expect a raw, stripped-back, and bespoke performance from Jamie in Jersey’s most-storied location. This is Jamie Webster as you’ve never heard him before.”

Lib Live is a new addition to the Island’s event calendar, featuring acoustic sets from UK acts. The dance event Lib in the Square is set to be headlined by DJs Roger Sanchez and MK.
