THE Premier League 3 title race has been sizzling away for several months, but with just three games remaining, the heat is about to be turned right up.
The Evelyn Partners Jets travel to take on Sussex Thunder on Sunday at the Brighton Sports and Health Complex off the back of their record-breaking win over Leeds Athletic last weekend.
Oakfield was treated to a spectacle against the northern side, as Rosie Tonner and her teammates recorded a 76-39 win, the highest scoreline of the season.
An effort from the coaching staff to ask for more accountability from their players has been received in superb fashion and the islanders look to have hit peak form at the perfect time.
The Jets remain in third place on 62 points, with both Ryland and Exeter above them, level on points on 64, Exeter tipping the scales with a favourable average.

Both sides came through challenging fixtures last weekend, Exeter beating Sussex at home themselves 60-43 and Ryland squeaking through a thriller 54-53 away at Norfolk United.
Ryland are on the road again this weekend to Hatfield Hawks, while Exeter also travel to take on Northants Storm.
Sussex Thunder remain in fifth place in Premier League 3 with a middling record of seven wins and eight losses. They are one of the highest scorers though, with an impressive record of 775 goals, the second highest in the division behind Ryland (881).
However, the second highest scorers will come up against the second best defense in the league in the Jets, who have conceded just 673 goals, second behind Exeter (634).
The Jets boast the bragging rights from the reverse fixture. Sussex travelled to Jersey back in October last year, where the Jets edged a close win 53-51. Sussex’s height was a particular notice from the Jets camp and they posed a good challenge.
No game is easy in this division, as is constantly noted, but if the Jets are to keep the pressure on the top two and even leapfrog them, nothing but a win is required.
Action from the Brighton Sports and Health Complex on Sunday is scheduled for a 12:30pm start.
