A GAMING centre and store is set to move to bigger premises in town.
Owner Paul Pearson said that the Jersey Gaming Hub will be moving to a temporary location on Halkett Place before the end of March, which is when the lease on their current premises at The Parade runs out.
“Then in about four months, we should be in our new location on Burrard Street,” he said.
“Our temporary location is basically what we are doing now, just on an ever so slightly smaller scale because we’ve got less space.
“But the new location on Burrard Street is very exciting and very scary all at the same time, because we’re going from where we are – which is 1,800sq-ft – to 5,000sq-ft.
“So it’s [about] finding a nice variety of things for that space, fitting it all out, making sure that it’s still accessible and that it’s not too overwhelming for people who are going to come in and see us, sometimes for the very first time.”
Mr Pearson added: “It’s going to be challenging, but we’ve been doing what we’ve been doing for a number of years now and I think we’re up to it.”
