DRIVERS are being reminded of ongoing repair works to traffic signals at the Havre des Pas and Mount Bingham junction.

Essential upgrades to the lights are currently taking place, with the first of two stages running from 14 to 22 February.

During this period, groundwork is taking place at the junction, resulting in traffic restrictions.

Westbound motorists will be diverted through the Tunnel via Green Street, while eastbound traffic will remain unaffected.

The second phase of the project is scheduled for 9 to 13 March.

This stage will involve the installation of new signalling equipment.

Unlike the earlier works, it will only affect footpaths in the area, with no impact on vehicles expected.

Once the second phase concludes, the pedestrian crossing lights at the junction are expected to be fully operational again being out of action for several months.

Islanders are advised to allow extra time for journeys during this period while the works are completed.
