A 14-year-old boy who was arrested following a knife-related “incident” at Haute Vallée yesterday has also been linked to an attempted knifepoint robbery over the weekend, police have confirmed.

The police were called to the school yesterday afternoon during which a boy was restrained by members of staff. One student sustained a “very minor” injury to the hand.

It followed a witness appeal over an attempted robbery reported on Saturday evening, which took place on La Route de la Haule in St Brelade.

Police were called at around 5.35pm on Saturday after a hooded individual allegedly knocked on the door of a property and threatened the occupant with a small knife while demanding car keys. The door was shut and locked and the suspect did not gain entry. No injuries were reported.

This afternoon, the police confirmed that the suspect is allegedly linked to both incidents.

Anyone with additional information is being asked to contact police on 01534 612612, quoting reference numbers M00859/2026 (attempted robbery) and M00904/2026 (school incident).
