AN EMERGENCY radio network and a disability charity are among the latest charities to have benefited from grant funding.

Following a meeting in December, the Association of Jersey Charities’ Grants Committee approved grants totalling £104,756 – £99,894 of which came from Channel Islands Lottery profits.

£30,000 was awarded to the Jersey Youth Trust, £20,000 to Parkinson’s Jersey, £30,000 to Shelter Jersey, and £19,894 to disability charity Enable Jersey.

A £4,862 grant was also given to RAYNET – the Radio Amateurs Emergency Network, which is an emergency communications service – to purchase new equipment.

The awards bring the total grant funding distributed throughout 2025 to £1.06m.

“We were once again really pleased to be able to approve grants to a broad range of local charities this quarter, which will help support the delivery of services across our community,” AJC Grants Committee chair Jill Ryan said.
