STATES police are appealing for information after a young scooter rider was injured in a collision with a car over the weekend.

The incident took place just after midday on Sunday 18 January at the junction of St Saviour’s Hill and Langtry Gardens.

The boy was riding a push scooter when he was involved in a collision with a brown Honda CRV, according to the force.

States police said the boy sustained “serious injuries” and was taken to hospital. He has since been discharged.

Officers are asking any witnesses or Islanders with dash-camera footage to contact the States police on 612612 or the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or online.
