THE 2026 Island Walk will take place on Saturday 20 June, organisers have confirmed.
Once again being sponsored by TMF, this year will mark the 35th anniversary of the annual 48-mile fundraising challenge, which tasks participants to make their way on foot around the full perimeter of the Island.
Eleven local causes have been named as prospective beneficiaries of this year’s challenge. They are: Wetwheels Jersey, Dementia Jersey, The Grace Crocker Family Support Foundation, Jersey Child Care Trust, Acorn Enterprises, Jersey Cheshire Home, Brightly, Jersey Heart Support Group, Jersey Scouts, Music in Action and MacMillan Jersey.
Jake Crichton has also been announced as the new chairman of the event’s organising body; Around the Island Walk Trust. He succeeds departing chair Rob Syvret.
The 2025 edition of the walk raised more than £140,000 for local good causes, increasing the event’s all-time fundraising total to over £3 million since it began.
James Coughlan of the returning headline sponsor said: “As a proud sponsor of the Island Walk, we are committed to acting responsibly and making a positive, lasting impact in the communities where we operate.
“This commitment is reflected not only through sponsorship, but through the enthusiastic participation of TMF colleagues in Jersey and from across our global network, who take part in the walk each year to support local charities and walk alongside the wider community.”
