VISITORS to Jersey’s popular Dreaming Trees winter light trail will need to book free tickets on busy nights when the event returns in 2026, organisers have announced.

Tickets will be required on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays to help manage capacity during what are expected to be the “busiest evenings” and ensure visitors can enjoy the illuminated trail comfortably, according to the website.

The tickets will be free of charge and used purely to stagger arrivals and prevent congestion.

On quieter midweek nights, Dreaming Trees – which is this year being sponsored by Butterfield – will remain open for walk-up entry, with no ticket required. Even on ticketed evenings, the event will stay free to attend, with only an optional “pay what you can, if you can” contribution for those wishing to support its future.

The change comes as the event continues to grow in popularity, welcoming thousands of families and visitors each winter.

Further details about the 2026 programme are set to be announced in the coming weeks. Find out more on the official website.
