ISLANDERS are invited to join a guided bird walk this weekend to look for the feathered friends that make Jersey their winter home.

The ‘Winter Warblers’ walk will take place at Hamptonne Country Life Museum from 1pm to 3pm on Sunday 11 January.

The event will begin with a warming cup of soup, followed by a guided walk around the grounds.

Walkers can warm up with a hot chocolate in the Cider Barn afterwards.

Hamptonne’s café will be open as usual throughout the day for those who would like to purchase additional refreshments.

Attendees are advised to wear suitable clothing and footwear for a winter walk, and be prepared for uneven ground and steps.

Tickets cost £12 for adults and £6 for children, with those under the age of six going free.

Jersey Heritage members are also eligible for a 10% discount.

No dogs are allowed, except assistance dogs.
