NOBODY seems quite sure how they got there – but several unexpected residents have appeared wedged between the railings of a St Helier park.

A handful of ceramic garden gnomes have been spotted dotted around the St Helier green space, seemingly ‘stuck’ mid-escape and peering out at passers-by.

Dotted around the park, it is unclear how long the ceramic sculptures have been there, why they were put there in the first place, or who by.

The JEP has contacted the government and parish to find out if they know more about the new arrivals.
