DOG owners are being reminded to renew their licences before the end of January to avoid paying a double fee.

Under Jersey law, owners are required to renew existing dog licences between 1 and 31 January 2026. The initial fee is £10 per dog but the cost doubles to £20 per dog after the January deadline.

Dogs under six months of age do not require a licence.

Registration forms can be filled out online via dedicated website doglicences.je, or dog owners can download individual forms to print and complete from their local parish website.
