MEALS on Wheels Jersey is appealing for new volunteer drivers to help deliver hot meals to Islanders in need following a number of recent retirements.

The charity is particularly in need of drivers on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

Volunteers are asked to drive the same route once a fortnight, collecting meals from the Enid Quenault Centre before delivering them to recipients.

Meals on Wheels said the role offers a chance to get to know both the people receiving meals and fellow volunteers.

Anyone interested can email mowdrivers.jersey@yahoo.co.uk. More information about the charity is available at www.mealsonwheels.je.
