A SESSION for businesses to learn how to become more family-friendly is being held next month.
The Institute of Directors (IoD) is inviting local businesses of all sizes to take part in ‘Being Family-Friendly Without Hurting the Bottom Line’.
The practical session will offer insights into how employers can support existing and returning parents in the workforce, without negatively impacting revenue.
Taking place at the Royal Yacht Hotel on Tuesday 20 January, participants will hear from keynote speaker Jane van Zyl, the chief executive of Working Families as well as local co-founders of the parental advocacy group, Mentorhood Jersey, Alice Vincenti and Denise Heavey.
The event is set to take place from 11am until 2.30pm and will conclude with a panel discussion with local industry leaders, as they reflect on the challenges and solutions to implement change for Jersey businesses.
