JERSEY’s only Michelin-starred restaurant has secured a place on a prestigious list of the UK’s top 50 fine dining establishments.

Bohemia was the only Channel Island restaurant to feature in the Harden’s Guide Top 100 restaurants for next year and placed in 49th position.

Led by head chef Tom Earnshaw since June this year, the restaurant remains a constant pull for foodies from the UK and Europe, who are keen to taste some of Jersey’s home-grown produce.

Now on its 35th edition, the Harden’s Guide is one of the only printed UK restaurant guides that is solely based on feedback from diners rather than a group of professional inspectors.

This year, around 30,000 reports were submitted from a survey of 2,500 diners.

Commenting on Bohemia’s high ranking, Mr Earnshaw said he was “extremely proud” of the recognition.

“It’s been a busy year since I took the helm and this ranking is a testament to the whole team, both in the kitchen and front of house,” he said.

Lawrence Huggler, managing director of Huggler Group, the parent company of the restaurant, added that the ranking “is a testament to Bohemia’s consistency in delivering a high quality experience every day”.

“A huge thank you to Tom and his kitchen brigade and to Dimitri and the front of house team,” Mr Huggler added. “We’re looking forward to raising the bar even higher next year.”
