A MAN has denied two charges of grave and criminal assault.

Carl Martin Le Quesne (54) pleaded not guilty to the two counts in the Royal Court yesterday.

Crown Advocate Emma Hollywood, prosecuting, alleged that the first assault took place between 1 and 30 June 2025, and the second took place on 22 September 2025, both at an address in St Helier.

He appeared in court yesterday to enter his pleas and a five-day jury trial was scheduled. This is due to start on 15 June 2026.

Mr Le Quesne was remanded in custody.

Advocate Mike Preston appeared for the defence.
