ISLANDERS will be able to fly directly to Essex after easyJet announced it would be reviving the route from March.
The airline have confirmed that twice-weekly flights will operate between the Island and Southend.
It will become the eighth service easyJet offers between Jersey and the UK.
The Southend flights will begin on 30 March and operate on Mondays and Thursdays.
Ports of Jersey chief executive Matt Thomas said: “This is great news for Jersey. EasyJet’s decision to introduce another UK route reflects the strong demand we continue to see and the airline’s commitment to supporting our island’s connectivity.
“More choice is always good for travellers, and we’re delighted to see Southend added to the network for 2026.”
Visit Jersey chief executive Tricia Warwick said the route would bring more visitors to the Island.
“Southend offers an easy and relaxed route from the capital and surrounding areas, making it even simpler for visitors to choose Jersey for their next break. We look forward to welcoming new guests and inspiring more people to discover everything our island has to offer,” she said.
