HER Royal Highness The Princess Royal will be in the Island tomorrow to carry out various engagements, the highlight being unveiling a portrait of her brother, King Charles III, and his wife Queen Camilla, which captures their visit to the Island last year.
In a busy schedule, Princess Anne will also tour the recently refurbished Opera House and visit the Jersey Branch of the Royal Air Forces Association, which is celebrating is centenary this year.
As Patron of the Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust, Her Royal Highness will also attend the Durrell Lecture at the Opera House.
The evening will feature Honorary Director of the trust, Dr Lee Durrell, in conversation with celebrity chef and environmental campaigner Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall discussing why late founder Gerald Durrell’s vision is still relevant today, 100 years since he was born.
The Princess Royal was last in the Island in July 2023, when she visited Durrell’s Tortoise Takeover Trail and officially opened the new Aldabran Tortoise House at Jersey Zoo.
