CHARITIES, organisations and individuals are invited to apply for flight funding from Blue Islands.

Since its launch in 2019, flight funding has provided over 500 flights to allow Islanders to benefit from training, competitions and other activities outside of Jersey.

Applications are now open for the airline’s latest round of flight funding.

Blue Islands chief exective Rob Veron said: “Flight funding is one of the most rewarding things we do.

“We see countless inspiring stories of islanders doing incredible things – from island athletes competing on the national stage to local charities making a big difference in our communities.”

He added: “We’re excited to see the next round of applications, and helping to support Channel Islanders whether it’s sport, art, enrichment or development.”

Flight funding is open to applications from anyone based in the Channel Islands whose activity will help them achieve something that would not otherwise be possible.

Successful applicants could receive flights for themselves, their team, or their group to attend events, access specialist training, or take part in activities that put the Channel Islands on the map.

Applications close on 28 September, and successful recipients will be announced later this year.
