St Aubin play area set to reopen next week

YOUNG Islanders should soon be able to use a play area in St Aubin once again following a two-month closure.

The play area, which is located adjacent to the sea wall and close to the Sacred Heart Church in St Brelade, is expected to reopen by next week, according to the Infrastructure and Environment Department.

It was closed around eight weeks ago as some of the play equipment needed replacing, and it “took time” to source a supplier and see new apparatus delivered, a department spokesperson said.
