A SOUND engineer travelling to Jersey to work at the Weekender festival was caught at the airport with cocaine.
In the Magistrate’s Court on Friday, Edward Charles Lowe (44) admitted to possessing around one gram of the drug.
The court heard that he arrived in the Island on Thursday evening, and that the drugs were detected by a Customs and Immigration Service dog. His luggage was searched and “a small quantity of cocaine” was found, legal adviser Harrison Gollop told the court.
Lowe, who lives in Birmingham, was released on bail. Bail conditions included a security paid by a colleague and that he should book a return flight for his sentencing date on 8 August.
Advocate Sarah Dale was defending and Assistant Magistrate Adam Clarke was presiding.
