JERSEY has experienced its hottest June day on record with temperatures on Monday soaring to 33.4°C.

The previous hottest June record was 33.2°C on 17 June 2022.

It is also provisionally the warmest June since records began in 1894, according to Jersey Met.

The mean temperature for the month was 18.7°C, surpassing the 18.6°C of June 1976.
