ISLANDERS are being warned about fake Jersey Post adverts on social media claiming to sell lost parcels for £1.
Jersey Post has urged people to report the posts immediately if they spot them.
One scam post by a Facebook account purporting to be from the postal service states that a variety of items – including electronics, household goods and gifts – are available to purchase for £1 due to a lack of space to store lost parcels.

Another fake ad, also offering parcels for £1, claims that Jersey Post is “urgently” clearing out its warehouse.
In a statement, Jersey Post said: “We’ve been made aware of a few fraudulent ads falsely claiming to be from Jersey Post.
“Please note that these posts are not from us, they are scams, and any links included should not be clicked.
“If you come across one of these posts, please report it immediately.”
The States police also told people to be aware of the scam.
