AFTER a spell of settled, largely dry weather, Jersey Met has issued a warning for gale-force winds to hit the Island later today.
The forecaster has issued an orange weather warning, with “unusually strong” winds from the west/south-west due this evening.
Islanders have been advised to remain vigilant, with winds predicted to reach force nine, including gusts of up to 60 knots.
The change in conditions is set to be accompanied by blustery showers through this afternoon and evening.
Tomorrow’s forecast shows the wind speeds easing, with the prospect of force five in the early morning, dropping further to force three or four later in the day.
