THE head of a Jersey hotel which overlooks St Ouen’s Bay has been re-elected to the international advisory board of a global group representing more than 600 luxury hotels in over 90 countries.
Patrick Burke, owner and managing director of The Atlantic Hotel, will continue to represent the Europe, Middle East and Africa region for Small Luxury Hotels of the World.
He first joined the board in 1999 and has since served as chairman and vice-chairman, personally visiting more than 300 member hotels as part of his work with the organisation.
Mr Burke said: “I am honoured to continue to serve on the International Advisory Board of Small Luxury Hotels of the World.
“Representing The Atlantic Hotel, Jersey and indeed the Channel Islands on this global platform is a real privilege, and I look forward to working alongside my fellow board members to help navigate this iconic brand through the challenges and towards the opportunities that lie ahead.”
The Atlantic Hotel, which joined the group in 1993, remains its only member in Jersey. It is also part of SLH’s “Considerate Collection”, a subgroup of hotels focused on sustainability.
