DFDS has announced that its delayed fast ferry should start operating the St Malo route from Saturday.
In a service update, the Danish firm said it was making “temporary schedule changes” on Thursday and Friday as it “prepares to welcome the Tarifa Jet into service on 12 April”.
Affected customers will be rebooked automatically and contacted.
Tarifa Jet – which was meant to start running the St Malo route at the end of March – has remained in Portland for refit due to “technical issues” with a ramp but is expected to be back in service following berthing trials on Friday.
Freight and passenger vessel Stena Vinga – which was leased by DFDS to run the Portsmouth route – is currently operating the Jersey to France service.
Replacement vessel Côte d’Albâtre is sailing between Jersey and Portsmouth “with a slight timetable change”, according to DFDS.
DFDS thanked customers for their “patience and understanding”.
