A CATHOLIC priest with a “foot fetish” has been convicted of committing multiple acts of gross indecency against a child.

Following a seven-day trial in the Royal Court and two days of deliberation, a jury found that Piotr Antoni Glas (61) abused the child.

Jurors returned guilty verdicts on three of the counts Glas faced and acquitted him of two.

A further three charges were thrown out by the court earlier in the trial.

Crown Advocate Carla Carvalho, prosecuting, said the priest groomed the child before the offences themselves started.

Glas was remanded in custody.
