A MUCH-LOVED Mediterranean restaurant has announced it is closing this weekend after forty years serving Islanders.
Mino’s Restaurant, on Bath Street, said the decision had been made due to the building’s lease coming to an end and the owner retiring.
In a social media post, the long-standing family business wrote: “After over 40 amazing years, we’re sad to announce that we will be closing our doors due to the end of our lease.
“We want to take a moment to thank each and every one of our customers through the years for your support. Thank you for being a part of our legacy for nearly four decades.”
The restaurant serves up Italian, French and Mediterranean food.
One person commented: “Such great food over the years and great memories.”
Another said: “I’m gutted. Love your restaurant we have been going for the best part of 30 years”
A third wrote: “Happy memories of wonderful times there. Thank you all who made it happen.”
Anyone wanting a last supper at Mino’s Restaurant can book a table until Sunday 6 April.
