THE Island experienced a slightly drier February compared with the recent average, newly-released data has shown.

Figures from Jersey Met showed a total of 60.4 millimetres of rain were recorded across the month, compared with the average figure for 1991 to 2000 of 78.4mm.

Other data for the second month of 2025 showed an average temperature of 7.2°C, just 0.2°C above the 30-year average, while a total of 102.4 hours of sunshine was just 12 minutes below the average mark.

Sunday 9 February was a stand-out day for two reasons: February’s wettest day with 10.8mm, and the coldest temperature of the month at 0.3°C. The mercury reached a high point of 13.3°C on Saturday 22 February.
