THE star attraction at the Jersey International Air Display is returning this year.

The Red Arrows have confirmed that they will be appearing at the 2025 event after being unable to take part last year due to being on tour in Canada.

Last year Guernsey moved its display to June to accommodate the Red Arrows while Jersey organisers still opted to hold the Island’s display in the second week of September.

As well as not having its star attraction, last year’s event faced uncertainty and setbacks, including funding concerns.

Islanders ultimately raised over £30,000 to help bridge a “shortfall in financial support”. The crowd-funder was in addition to the government’s contribution of at least £40,000, though organisers had stressed the grant was lower than in previous years.

Organisers started a drive for corporate sponsors for the 2025 event at the end of last year – donations can be made at jerseyairdisplay.org.uk

The 2025 event is due to take place on Thursday 11 September.
