A SUPER-YACHT reportedly owned by Harry Potter author JK Rowling sailed into Jersey yesterday.
Boasting a five-metre circular swimming pool, a cinema and even its own beach club, Samsara is 88.5 metres long and can house a crew of 26 with space for 12 guests.
Ms Rowling is the 124th largest super yacht in the world and can take more than 280,000 litres of diesel. Worth an estimated $150 million, the yacht costs between $10 million and $15 million to operate annually.
It is unclear if the world’s wealthiest author has travelled with Samsara or will be joining it in Jersey, although Ms Rowling did pay a secret visit to Sark last year.
At the time, the author confirmed that “a few chapters” of her upcoming novel – the eighth instalment in the Cormoran Strike series – were due to be set in the tiny Channel Island.
