A HABITUAL offender has breached his latest probation order by going on holiday to Tenerife despite his vacation request being turned down.

The Magistrate’s Court heard that 20-year-old Rhylin Robert Le Masurier was subject to a court order running until April, which included terms banning him from leaving the Island.

Crown Advocate Adam Harrison, prosecuting, said Le Masurier asked permission to go on holiday. The request was refused but he went anyway.

Advocate Allana Binnie, defending, said Le Masurier had made good progress during the course of the probation order, and pointed out: “There are real signs of progress in his life.

“He has stayed out of trouble throughout the order.”

Assistant Magistrate Adam Clarke allowed the order to continue with no additional penalty, saying: “There are some positives here.”

But he warned Le Masurier: “Further breaches could bring different outcomes.”
