THE States police are appealing for anyone with information about a wanted man with links to Jersey to come forward.
Andre Aguiar is wanted by Hampshire Police for non-appearance at Southampton Crown Court after he failed to comply with a suspended-sentence order.
The 27-year-old, who authorities said had links with Jersey, Guernsey, Southampton and Bournemouth, is described as 5ft 10in, of slim build and having dark hair.
He has no previous criminal record in Jersey, a spokesperson for the force has confirmed.
Hampshire Police issued a statement on Tuesday asking for anyone with knowledge of Mr Aguiar’s whereabouts to contact them and reminded the public that harbouring individuals and obstructing police attempts to locate them were offences liable for arrest.
“Officers are following all lines of inquiry to locate Aguiar, and would also like to appeal to the wider public for information regarding his whereabouts,” the statement read.
“We would like to remind people harbouring Aguiar to deliberately obstruct our attempts to locate him may be committing an offence and be liable for arrest themselves,” it added.
Anyone who has any information regarding Mr Aguiar’s whereabouts have been urged not to approach him and instead contact police, quoting the number 44240453857.
