WORK to identify the body of a man found in Jersey waters continued yesterday as part of an ongoing States police investigation.
The force told the JEP that a pathologist was expected to arrive in the Island this week to help with the identification process.
On Monday it emerged that the body of a man in his 40s was recovered by a trawler in Jersey waters last week.
There has not yet been any confirmation as to whether the body is that of a British man who went missing on a ferry during a crossing from Portsmouth to St Malo earlier this month.
In an update, a States police spokesperson said that a pathologist was expected to arrive in Jersey this week “to facilitate the identification of the male found and contribute to the ongoing police investigation in consultation with the Coroner’s office”.
